Well, it's finally happened. My dad's 2005 BMW 325Ci has finally experienced my detailing touch! Although, he never called me up to come clean his car for him. Instead, I snuck it from his garage while he is outta town for 2 weeks on a backpacking trip with my little brother, in Philmont, NM.
So how did I sneak it out, you might ask. Well it was easy really. My dad gave us the gate/ garage opener for his apartment complex in case of an emergency. Well, it wasn't really an emergency, just a car in need of some wicked TLD, "Tender Loving Detailing". Not to mention that the clicker was attached to one of the 2 keys that came with his car.
So why did I do this out of the blue, you may wonder? The reason being is simple. My dad is a very hard working man, and it really shows. He has worked is every loving rear end off to be where he is today. He is currently the Managing Director of Flight for American Airlines @ DFW International Airport, and he currently has a shot to be the next VP of Flight for American Airlines. I have the utmost respect for his hard work and perseverance, however, because he works so hard, he rarely has time to even take his car to the wash, let alone, do it himself.
So that's where I come in. The car was in a good shape, but really needed a good thorough cleaning to make it sparkle, especially on the rims and tires! Most BMW owners know what I mean about the rims, as they are notorious for collecting brake dust! So at 9:30 this morning, July 21, 2010, I snuck the BMW back to my place and began my process. The detail went as follows:
Exterior
Full Pressure Wash
Wash w/ Gold Class Shampoo & Conditioner (2 Bucket Method minus Grit Guard)
Clay Bar w/ QD as lube
UC and ScratchX in a few places
Deep Crystal Polish
2 coats: NXT Tech Wax 2.0
Eagle One 20/20 Glass Cleaner
Interior
Gold Class Rich Leather Cleaner/ Conditioner (lotion)
Ultimate Protectant for dash and trim
Cleaner Wax for door jambs
Full Vacuum w/ Shop Vac
Rims & Tires
Eagle One A2Z All Wheel and Tire Cleaner (agitated with various brushes)
Gold Class Endurance Tire Gel
(A quick spray of QD on engine bay just for a quick shine)
I didn't get any before pictures, but I got a ton of after pics!
Feast your eyes on this beauty!!

My dad has not seen the car yet, but I guarantee you, that he is gonna flip when he sees this car! It's not been this clean at all, not even when it came out of the dealership when we bought it back in 2007! I'm praying for a good result.
Well enjoy the photos everyone! This was a labor of love that took me literally ALL DAY (9:30 AM to 5:00 PM), that's partially due to me doing everything by hand!
Take care everyone,
Bobby Johnson
