  • First time Using M105 and M205 (test spot only)

I just bought a car that was swirled pretty bad and I also received by M105 and M205 in the mail so this was the perfect time to use it. I decided to only do a test spot for now.

    Before:

I started by claying my test spot with the smooth surface clay kit.

Here's the clay after doing the 1 1/2 foot by 1 1/2 foot test spot.

After Claying, I used M105 with a lake county orange pad with PCxp,

I did one section pass with M105 and one section pass with M205 and a LC polishing.

    Afters:

    50/50s

I used too much product so I got splatter , I ended up washing the hood again.

There were some scratches that I couldn't get out and I don't think I'm experienced enough to wet sand yet so I didn't even try.

I will definitely practice and improve my technique before I do the whole car, Overall I was very happy at how fast M105 removed the swirls, I would appreciate your guys comment and tips, Thanks.

M205 gives you pretty good working time. You should, I think, be able to get several section passes out of it. I certainly wouldn't stop with just one.

Looks like you made great headway against the swirls and left just a couple of straight line scratches - nice job! Those straight scratches could be quite deep but a second or even third pass with M105 may well reduce them to the point where you hardly see them. If not, then as you surmised they could be very deep and not possible to remove without more extreme measures. As you mentioned, though, that takes a whole different skill set!

Looks pretty good for 1 pass of each. Try a few more passes with a little more pressure and you should be able to get even more out and clear it up a bit more.
with the 205 obviously do more passes and the final pass do just the weight of the machine really slow, should make it even better.
