  • Hyundai Tucson 2005 Black!

Hey guys whats up! I havent had much time to be in the forum due to college stuffs.

This is one of my neighbors, i usually wash this vehicle in a weekly basis and her husband car also.. A BMW 328i Black colored also.

This is just a simple wash, so hope you enjoy.

    I used:

-NXT shampoo to wash the suv with lambswool wash mitt.
-Wheels, wheel wells and rims were cleaned with APC 4:1, SD 10:1 and Some soapy water. And various brushes
-I vacuumed the interior with my Shop-vac.
    -Dryed with several MF's.
-NXT Insane Shine for the tires dressing.

    Here she is:

I didnt took much pictures because i have to do fast jobs sometimes because the client needs the car. Also i didnt took much interior pictures, i think i didnt took any interior picture at all.

    Befores:

There were like 3 millions water spots and etching on this paint.

The tires and wheel wells were pretty dirty.

    The Door,

And here, i found an interior shot of the carpet .

As i sayd, i dont promise a lot of pictures as i usually do

    The After's:

As you can see in both of these pictures, the suv got hit by a bus and peeled of paint and transfered paint too, nothing i can do to fix it without getting it repainted.

Without any source of light to help see the scratches and swirls you can see them in the reflection pic.

In my opinion it came out really good for how it was before.

    YEY! No more water spots

    I like the last picture.

    Hope you enjoyed this thread.

I offered the customer to have her SUV complete detailed and an interior cleanup because its messed up, she eats in the car so you know what im talking about.

    Thanks..

You're bringing back the nightmares... my former S.O. has a black '06 Tucson Limited with gloss black on the trim instead of the matte plastic. If you go after the thing with a polisher you'll find the paint on the tin fairly hard. It took M105 & PFW & multiple passes to remove etched water spots. The paint on the plastic was soft and swirled easily.

The front brakes dust like crazy and after driving in the rain sticks like glue, the rears not so much. Gotta keep 'em clean or they're a pain to try and get back. An EZ Detail or similar brush is essential.

The grill and windshield shroud are a PITA as well. Meg's Accent Dressing aerosol was the easiest, longest lasting solution I found. The aerosol Trim Dressing works well if you can find it.. similar product in a slightly different label AFAIK.

Try a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser on that paint transfer. I had to use it regularly as the ex couldn't seem to avoid running into things. It'll leave some marring on the gloss black but Ultimate Compound or 105 cleans it right up.

    Nice work!

That looks good, Ryan. That vehicle also looks like from your camera angle that it could be a great headlight restoration project!

Ryan, I agree very much improved. The Tuscon looks a lot better.

Thanks man, im sorry i brought nightmares back to you, but nightmares jobs makes you better :P, i dont have an EZ detailing brush, but i have a TOILET BRUSH! Thats the best tool ive used so far for detailing the wheels and wheel wells.

For detailing trims i usually use a painter sponge, the little ones that comes with a stick, it makes easy to reach places like those grills.

All i did on this one was a simple wash, no compounding or polishing used, i didnt even clayed the Suv, so now you see why i say it came out great

            Thanks.

Way To Improve that car! Much better now!

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

              I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
              Remove swirls my friends.
