  • 2006 Volkswagon Passat

    2006 VW Passat, 58k miles.

One step exterior, basic cleanup on the interior.

Client dropped off the vehicle at 6am, needed it back by noon.

    A few befores:

Washed the wheels, tires, wells and trim pieces with Deep Crystal Car Wash, All Purpose Cleaner and various brushes.

The car was washed with Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo & Conditioner, bugs and tar were treated with Body Solvent.

I dried it with some WMs.

I did a vac on the trunk and wiped the jambs out.

No interior befores, nothing to show.

I did a dry brush and vac on the interior, treated all the hard surfaces and leather to Quik Interior Detailer, glass was cleaned with Glass Cleaner Concentrate, I brushed out all the vents and crevices with a paintbrush as well.

I did a one step with #205 - Ultra Finishing Polish and my G110 using several W8207 pads on speed 4. I sealed the paint with #21 - Synthetic Sealant 2.0 and a W9207 pad on speed 3.

Tires, fenderwells, and trim were dressed with All Season Dressing, wheels were sealed with #20 - Polymer Sealant, glass got Glass Cleaner Concentrate 10:1 x2.

Let me know what you think.

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

6 A.M. is pretty early to start detailing, but I bet it was nice get it done before it got too hot.

It looks good, another nice job.

                    Thanks.

This was not a correction detail. The owner was not paying for me to do that.

Here are a couple corrections I have done in the past:

Boat detail 50+hrs -remove oxidized fiberglass

1963 Splt Window Red Corvette- Remove Swirls,Scratches, and Oxidation

Oh I see, but I was just asking in general. Its just I noticed you do a lot of cars throughout the week and its basic detail with light correction.

How much do you charge on average for a car like this with same package?

Yes, I do a lot of daily drivers and work vehicles.

Basic details range from $150-$250, just depends on the condition, size, and age of the vehicle.

A basic detail is a wash, clay, AIO or One step, and interior.

I also do a fair amount of maintenance washes.

I charged $175 for the Passat.
