  • Black Silverado

It's been quite a while since I have had the time to post anything. Work, baseball and detailing has been keeping me quite busy these days. Anyway, here is an 04 Silverado. It was pretty hammered. Process was wash at the local coin op to save time. Clayed with Meg's mild clay and Final Inspect 1:1 as lube. M105 via rotary with purple LC foamed pad and 205 via DA with white LC foam pad. Topped with M21. The tires were dressed with ASD and the plastics were dress with GC trim dressing. The client didn't think that there was much that could be done for this truck. He was very pleased and gave me a nice tip.

Tracy, that truck looks great, I'm glad to hear the client appreciated it.

    No tire dressing?

Thanks Mark. I don't know what's better getting paid or seeing the customers reactions when they see their vehicles. LOL Yes, I dressed the tires in ASD but wiped it off to avoid the wet appearance. Customer had said he just liked the tires to look clean.

Great job Autobrite (Tracy). The black Chevy/GMC trucks look really nice when polished.

How do you like claying with Final Inspection 1:1 vs. Last Touch? Why do you choose Final Inspection?

Did you do any work with the chrome?

I use Final Inspect because it is just what what the local supply shop had. It works great for claying at 1:1. It could almost be cut to 2:1 because at 1:1 it almost still a little too slick for the clay.

I was wondering why more guys/girls don't use it. It guess it's the cost factor, but at 2:1 it might even be a tad cheaper than Last Touch at 1:1
