  • 1989 Cadillac Eldorado

93,000 miles. I bought a PC because of this car and all its swirls it had. I've always kept my cars clean- just never treated my paint to this extent before! It was a lot of work, but really really enjoyable to see the end result.

    Process I used:
    wash with Gold Class
    clay
UC with LC CCS orange (swirlX alone wasnt cutting it)
    DC2 with LC CCS black
NXT 2.0 with LC blue x2

Im wishing I had time to hit it with swirlX with LC white pad inbetween UC and DC2.

    After:

Don't mind the compound dust...rookie mistake!

      Looks great.

Hard to believe it is over twenty years old.

        THAT'S how black should look!

        Well done

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

          Nice work!

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

          I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
          Remove swirls my friends.

Looks great. No way this paint is that old. Great job. You should be proud of your results. Way to go.

Is that the original paint? If so, even though it was heavily swirled, someone obviously took very good care of it. Of course, with less than 4500 miles/year on average, that is a bit easier to do. But old paint or not, low mileage or not, you certainly did an outstanding job bringing that paint back to the smoothness and gloss level the car deserves. Well done!

Excellent work. Inside and out, that is one very clean Caddy.
