  • 2007 Nissan Altima

    2007 Nissan Altima, 47k miles.

The owner's daughter purchased a gift certificate from me for a Mothers Day gift. She thought having her Mom's car cleaned up would be a good idea since it has never been cleaned in three years. She ended up going with one of my daily driver packages. Turned out well in the end.

    Some befores:

I washed the wheels, tires, and wells with Deep Crystal Car Wash, Super Degreaser and Wheel Brightener along with various brushes.

I washed the car Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo & Conditioner, a Meguiars wash mitt, Body Solvent on the lower panels, and a bug sponge to get the bugs off.

I dried it with some Water Magnets, then did a vac on the trunk and wiped the jambs down.

I then pulled the mats out of the interior, and removed the rear seats.

There was a lot of dog hair.

I dry brushed and did a vac on the interior, I cleaned everything with All Purpose Cleaner, cotton towels, and various brushes. The carpet was cleaned with APC, water, and a brush. I extracted with my Shop Vac, water, cotton towels, and dried with the blower option on my vac.

Jambs were cleaned with All Purpose Cleaner, glass was cleaned with Glass Cleaner Concentrate at 10:1. All interior surfaces were dressed with Quik Interior Detailer.

I lightly clayed the paint with Detailing Clay (Mild) and Last Touch Spray Detailer at 1:1.

I applied #66 - Quick Detailer (Cleaner/Wax) to the paint, chrome and headlights/tailights with my G110 using several W8207 pads at speed 4.

I dressed the tires with Hot Shine High Gloss Tire Coating (Aerosol) , wells were dressed with #40 - Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner.

The wheels were sealed with #20 - Polymer Sealant. The glass and tailpipes were cleaned with Glass Cleaner Concentrate at 10:1.

It was raining outside, so just a few pictures in the garage:

Let me know what you think.

Looks great Nick! Even with the dog hair, I'm sure it felt like a breeze compared to the black Suburban. Is that a new cabinet in front of the car in the last pic?

      Thanks you.

Yes, I just got the cabinet. I actually have moved it since taking these photos though.

        Nice work as always Nick!

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

        I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
        Remove swirls my friends.

The Altima looks great. With all that dog hair, you would think there would be some major scratches from the dog in the leather seats? It came out great as always. Way to go, Nick.

Looks great! Great quality as always! Did you use your 70/30 mix of UQW and M135 to top the M66?

Nice job Nick! With all that dog hair to deal with, aren't you glad that wasn't a Mazda?

                          Thanks.

If it was a Mazda, I would have most likely turned it down.
