2007 Mazda 3

So I finally got around to polishing my wife's car. We've had the car for almost 3 years and I haven't it touched it once with polish

Process:

Washed with Optimum No Rinse
Clayed also with Optimum No Rinse as the lubricant
Polished with Meguiar's M80 with a W8006 polishing pad
Waxed with Meguiar's Gold Class
Tires dressed with Meguiar's Endurance High Gloss

Doesn't look too bad for a car that's never been polished. Maybe it's the gray mica paint. Unlike my car's black paint that shows absolutely every defect.

Before Minor Swirling / Water Spots:



Getting good shots of the light swirling was difficult as we have a lot of trees in our neighborhood so I couldn't get any full sun shots, and the paint seemed to hide things very well - even with the naked eye I had a hard time seeing the swirls.

After No More Water Spots:



Not as dramatic a change as darker colors, but still has a good reflection.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention, it was the perfect day for detailing in Raleigh today. A cold front came through last night and it was in the 60's this morning and got up to "only" the low 80's as the high.

Compared to the mid 90's and high humidity we've had lately, it was a welcome change.
