, oops! Sorry about that. You guys are my two favorite detailers on here. Anytime I reply to a "Show off your latest work" it's either you or Tracy. Got this one mixed up! Anyway....
Great work Nick!
No worries Mike, it happens
As for your question regarding D151, I like it. But for some reason I like M66 a little more. I have several gallons of each so they will both be put to good use.
Great job Tuck91, i always love every single detail you use.
Im courious, where do you use the BS (Body Solvent)? Ive never bought it and i see you use it a lot, pretty much in all your details.
Would you please tell me?
Great Detail man,
Ryan
Thanks Ryan.
I use Body Solvent on tar and bugs mostly. I usually spray it on the front of the vehicle, lower panels and anywhere else that needs it. I also let it dwell for at least fifteen minutes. The key is to pretty much let it dwell on the surface.
Hey Tuck, can the body solvent be applied to the whole car and dwel for a bit to remove contaminants, kind of like a prewash treatment? I was always curious about using the solvent in a foam gun or something to pre-treat the car. Ideas?
I don't think I would use it in a foam gun unless it is a chemical resistant foam gun. ADS recommends a chemical resistant sprayer when purchasing Body Solvent so I would be careful about using it in a foam gun.

WOW !!! Mike, I'll take the compliment of getting confused with Nick any day. His work is second to none!

After washing the wheels, tires, and wells. I rinse down the whole vehicle then spray on the Body Solvent. I wash the whole vehicle like normal but only agitate the areas I sprayed Body Solvent with last.
I have not used it in a foam gun. Body Solvent is a clear liquid and you can barely see it when you spray it on the surface. Not sure how well it would work in a foam gun.

I am not sure if you have used Body Solvent or not but it is a clear liquid and I do not think it would play well in a foam gun. I have never used the product with a foam gun.
I use a standard Tolco sprayer with Body Solvent. No problems yet. I do not use any chemical resistant sprayers.
I use an ADS foaming sprayer for APC, SD, and WB. I might try my ADS foaming sprayer head with Body Solvent just for the heck of it though.

Any chance you can describe the differences you feel are better with M66? It's been a couple 2-3 years since I've used M66 so I honestly can't remember enough about it to compare it myself with D151. Seeing you use so much of M66, I'm half tempted to pick-up a sampler from my distributor.

I feel M66 is a tad bit easier to use, and I like it since its very similar in cut to M80 Speed Glaze. I also like it better since it is not as thick and is easier to use and handle IMO.
I dont know, its just one of those products I really like but cannot fully explain why.

You can use a foaming sprayer with these chemicals? I thought they reuqired chemical resistant sprayers. Interesting.
Thanks for all the info Tuck! Your write-ups are always awesome. One more thing, do you use the foaming sprayer with APC on interior carpets as well?
Sorry about the informal quote but I do not know how to take out only parts of a message.
Not sure if they are meant to be used with the ADS foaming sprayer, but I just do it anyway since I like the foaming action.
Super Degreaser and a foaming sprayer head can make dirt bleed out of a tire really nicely. I feel like I can let WB dwell a little longer with a foaming sprayer head as well.
No, I do not use a foaming sprayer head on carpet with APC. I have a dedicated bottle and sprayer head for APC when cleaning interiors and carpet.
