This weekend we detailed the second of now three cars for one of our customers. (Our excellent jobs have sold her to have her son's Mustang detailed as well
) This Rav4 actually belongs to one of my friends so we made sure it came out absolutely stunning!
Upon arrival, I inspected the vehicle to see just what we were dealing with. Obviously this midsize lives under trees at home: the roof and hood were covered in dirt, leaves, and the occasional spot of algae-ish growth. Yuck. Here is what it looked like:

First, the tires were sprayed with Bleeche-White and then scrubbed. The rims and fender wells were then shot with Meguiar's All Purpose Cleaner Plus and scrubbed as well. Next, all body crevices, emblems, and seals were sprayed with Meguiar's All Purpose Cleaner Plus and scrubbed with a SM Arnold Detail Brush. The car was then washed from top to bottom with Meguiar's Gold Class Shampoo using Microfiber Wash Mitts and a Grit Guard. Finally, the car was blown dry with an Echo backpack blower and microfiber drying towels. Here is what it looked like after the wash:

We then pulled the car into the shop to inspect the interior. It seems like she must leave her doors open at night too! The interior was full of leaves, pollen, and dust. The rear gate's door jamb even had some nasty green things growing in it. Here is what the interior looked like:

After pulling out some supplies and tools, I set out on the interior. Almost all the surfaces were cleaned with our new SteamFast Steam Cleaner. After they were cleaned, all the plastics and rubbers were coated with Meguiar's Natural Shine. The floor mats were then lightly sprayed with Meguiar's All Purpose Cleaner Plus, scrubbed, and extracted with our Bissell Little Green Machine with ProHeat. Certain interior spots were sprayed with Meguiar's All Purpose Cleaner Plus and scrubbed with a microfiber towel. All the windows were then cleaned with Meguiar's Detailer Line Glass Cleaner. Here is what the final interior looked like:
(floor mats drying on our homemade mat holder stand)

(all nice and clean now)

My partner and I tackled the exterior together. He applied Meguiar's ColorX by dual action polisher on a red pad on speed 3. Meguiar's Tire Shine was applied to all the tires, select trim pieces, and mud flaps. Here is what the final product looked like:

Thanks for Looking!
