    PROJECT: 1999 BMW E36 M3

She was in remarkable condition at first glance, but deep down she had accumulated years of inferior and improper paint care by her previous owner.

My goal for the new owner was to restore this very desirable M3 to better than new condition, which I acomplished after about 9 hrs of paint correction.

Here are some of the photos as the detail progressed.....

Before photos showing major extensive circular scratches and cobwebbing

    Prep and tape

Hood photo showing extensive scratches that I needed to correct, just the clay process improved the condition of the paint..it was very dry.

Hood 50/50 photo after 1 pass with my rotary and a Megs W8006 w/M105, what a difference!

Hood completely corrected and ready for LSP w/M21

Completed photos after thorough paint correction, she looked flawless for her age of 11 years!

Here is a little Flip video I made that I posted on my youtube channel showing some of the before, during and after proceedures and clips.

Thank you for viewing one of my recent projects.....

    Have a great day!

Good job David. I watched your video along with the garage door video. I'll check out more of your videos later.

That 11 year old M3 was in nice shape to begin with and now it looks better than new. The new owner must be very, very happy. I'm dealing with the same type of job on my '09 Sierra (black). I took it through a car wash and beat it up, now I'm trying to get it better than new as it was never polished properly to begin with. Similar to the M3 the body is otherwise in perfect condition.

I like the camera work you did. You might want to edit the videos and shorten things up a bit, but I had the patience to watch them and enjoyed them.

How long have you been detailing? Is it a full time job for you?

    Bill

Alway's appreciating your compliments!...new owner did not want to drive it after seeing the results, I think it's been sitting in his garage since the detail.........thanks again!

Nice job on a nice car. They're great when they're looked after. You've done a great job of presenting this one.
Not wanting to Hijack your thread but we had a similar car in the other day, well maintained mechanically but the body was tired (250,000 Km's of hard driving) Your's is a much nicer example but here's what we did. Good quality seems to respond to nice treatment.
