  • 2004 Jeep Wrangler

Here is an '04 Wrangler I did this weekend. For as small sd it was it was a pain in the tail pipe. Process was wash, then clay with Meg's mild clay with Final Inspect 1:1 as lubricant. One step correction with 151 on variuos pads via rotary and topped with M21. All the plastics and tires were dressed with All Season Dressing. I was unable to pull it outside to get pics due to rain.

Great work Autobrite it looks fantastic now.

Not to steal your thunder, but I have a question about the 151 you used. Your blue looks fantastic. If you look at the image above this is a test spot I did on my buddies 2003 Jeep. It's patriot blue. Is this the same color you worked on? It's tough to tell because your color change was so drastic.

I used Ultimate Compound followed by 205 then Deep Crystal Polish topped by NXT 2.0. I'm not getting the same color change you did. Do you think it is because you used 151?

BTW, I love the trim work. My buddies bumpers look the same as your before photos. He will be thrilled if I can reproduce the results you did. I only promised to correct the paint, I want to exceed his expectations. Did you use all season dressing on the hard top as well?

The 151 is a paint reconditioning cream. The color change has more to do with the paint being cleaned in general and the lighting that the after pics were taken in. Your process on your buddies jeep is more than sufficient to achieve amazing results. However, I would venture to say that it's not really necessary to follow the 205 with the deep crystal polish. I could be all wrong though. Maybe someone else could chime in hear as I am not that familiar with deep crystal. Oh, and thank you so much for your kind words.

Very nice turnaround, Tracy. First time I've seen the inside of your garage. I've got to say I really like it. Very nice workspace.
