What do you wear the latex gloves for?

Did you use the DA on the racing stripes and the white stripes going down the sides of the car?

I spray waxed the stripes.

I thought you wore them to avoid transferring oils from your hands, or perhaps you have very hairy knuckles that might scratch the paint.

I figured as much, I just wanted to be sure. I know after a detail my hands are nasty and get dried out, and I had thought of wearing gloves but I didn't think it was a normal practice to wear gloves when you detail.
