2008 xB engine detail

The other day I took an hour or so and detailed the engine bay of my xB... It now has 40,000 miles on it, approaching it's third birthday. Looking good!




I basically used APC on microfiber to clean most everything, then followed up with vinyl/rubber protectant on the plastic/hoses. I also cleaned the CAI tube with some of Meg's metal polish (forget exact name!)

It feels so good to have a clean engine, even if you don't normally see it!

Yeah, I try to keep up with it, especially during winter. Usually when I wash the car I will give a quick pass in the engine with APC and Vinyl/Rubber Protector.

what product did you use in the engine i have subaru sti need to be done asap when to the tracks an so much dirt an dust when in but dont wanna just jump in with degreaser it could damage the engine an hoses what do you recomend???????

I posted above what I used.

All Purpose Cleaner + Microfiber

Vinyl/Rubber Protector + Microfiber.
