  • SAAF Dassault Mirage IIICZ Fighter Polish

I know you guys enjoyed Superior Shines post about detailing a B-17 and a B-25, so i thought I would share s sneak preview of what we are up to in South Africa.

Stripping and polishing a South African Air Force Dassault Mirage IIICZ Fighter for the museum at Swartkops.

A few Meguiars products are helping, together with some other makes and a Makita 9227 polisher.

Progress is slow since only 2 of us are working on free weekends and up to 7 layers of paint have to be stripped off in places.
A number of panels also have to be sanded before polishing.

Thank you to Superior Shine for the advice given .

Enjoy the preview of Mirage IIICZ 805

That looks like a great project and progress looks good so far. Keep us posted...

        Thanks all

The idea is to get it back into its delivery scheme of polished aluminium with a few markings, as seen in the picture from around 1970
