  • 1990 Pontiac Firebird Formula

Ok folks, here's my pride and joy. I am the original and only owner. She served me faithfully as my daily driver for just over 12 years until a kid in his Accord pulled out in front of me and crunched the nose and fender in. She's been a play toy ever since and has enjoyed the life of garage queen and car show regular. These are after DC1, Ultimate Compound where needed, Mothers California Gold Glaze and finally 2 coats of NXT 2.0 on the paint with Hot Rims used on the wheels. Let me know what you think.

Engine is internally stock but I've done the following:
            TPI conversion, was TBI originally
            headers and exhaust
Upgraded to 4 wheel disc (C4 vette and 1LE)
Lowered with Eibach springs and Tokico adjustable struts and shocks
Adjustable lower control arms, torque arm and panhard bar from Spohn
strut tower brace and subframe connectors
Swapped out the 10 bolt for upgraded Borg Warner 9 bolt,3.27 ratio
Shift kit and corvette servo in transmission
Interior switched from grey cloth to Ebony leather
            Autometer gauges
            Alpine/Rockford Fosgate/Boston Acoustic/JL Audio stereo
            Torque Thrust 2 wheels (17x8)

Very nice upgrades!!!!! I would truly be proud to own this car.

I know I'm stang_krazy but my start came from the f-bodies and I still have a place in my heart for the PONTIACS, will have another or three someday.

Like many Firebird fans my addiction started with Smokey & the Bandit. I'm always on the lookout for a good quality 88-92 T/A or GTA, maybe a convertible to park next to the Formula in the building.

I'm with you on wishing that Pontiac had not been axed. I had more use for what they produced rather than Buick. My next purchase was going to be a G8-GT when it was time to replace the Mercury. Not sure what now.....

Great looking Firebird. I, like many others fell for the ta/ firebird with Smokey and the Bandit.

Your bird looks fantastic. Nice work.

Can't stop drooling. I had an 86 Iroc and I WILL own another 3rd gen f-body one day.

BTW, are you a member of TGO?
