Lexus GS350 Detail (Wax+Interior Detail)

This weekend I detailed the fourth and final car for one of my customers. The Lexus really wasn't bad at all. A good wash and coat of wax later and I could not believe the reflections on this bad boy. The interior received attention as well. The floor mats came out looking brand new, a few spots in the carpet were removed, and the leather seats cleaned up. Now off for some sleep... I have another one coming up tomorrow!



Wash:

Looks good! Why did you use Cleaner Wax vs. something like NXT 2.0? Just curious.

Good question! I've had a lot more interest from people who just want interior details and a wax, so no clay or polishing was done other than little spots (under door handles, bug juice, bird droppings, etc). My ideology is that cleaner wax will do a better job of "cleaning" or " smoothing" the surface if you will than just Tech Wax 2.0 would. Of course, I could always apply the wax with a white pad on the DA if I was really looking for a cleaning action, but I prefer hand-waxing.

On all my other details, those that are clayed or have been polished, I use NXT 2.0, Gold Class, Step 3 Carnauba, etc.

If you haven't tried it, give Colorx a shot next time (for one steps). It does a good job of cleaning and leaves some protection behind. It's one product that is under-rated IMO and it really surprised me on how well it worked with the DA when I first used it. Btw.. nice job!

The Lexus looks fantastic. Better then new. great job. Way to go.
