Thanks, You are right about that! I just purchased a G110 from ADS. I have 2 boats, a 98 Acura TL , and an 07 Nissan Frontier to detail . My arm was hurting just thinking about it !
is it just me, or is your process a little out of order?
I would've done:
Wash
Clay
DC1
SwirlX
DC2
NXT
UQD
Actually, you could most likely skip a step or two with the following process and get as good, if not, better results in less time (that's a big truck, and working by hand is, well..... there's a reason power tools exist!!!):
Wash
Clay
Ultimate Compound
DC2
NXT
DC1 is very light duty (in fact, it's no longer available in the US) and SwirlX isn't all that aggessive either. Now, if the defects were very mild you could substitute SwirlX in place of Ultimate Compound, but if you're going to be using a pure polish anyway, there's no point in using both UC and SX. As for the UQD after the fact, unless you're getting a lot of dust or are having an issue with wipe off of NXT, it's not really going to gain you a lot either. Better to save that for when a bit of dust accumulates on the finish before the next wash. It's extremely rare that we see a need to use a QD immediately after waxing.
