  • Power of M105 extreme 50/50

This is a Honda Accord that had scuffed up against a wall. The owner decided to use a 3M scotch brite pad to "polish the paint". I banged my head against the wall and cringed. So, I am told to see if this section can be fixed.

    Here is the process:

    Flex 3401 on speed 5
Meguiars heavy duty foam red pad
    M105 with 4 passes
    DACP with 4 passes
    Finishing glaze

That Scotch Bright pad worked great! I can hardly see the scrape through all those scratches!

From now on the rule is a disclaimer needs to be in the subject line whenever the thread contains photos of someone who thought using a Scotch Bright pad would be a good idea.

Great work! I hope you told the owner that had it all wrong and should have used a Brillo pad!

Nice! Are you going to do the rest of the car in the future?

Thanks for all the nice comments.

No, I will not be doing the rest of the car. Owner will not pay for the amount of labor cost involved dispite the excellent result. It would be a waste of my time since the car gets washed every 3 months and is done at the automatic car wash.

I just wanted to put the Flex and M105 to the true test and it was worth every penny invested.
