Here is a project that I completed yesterday on a 2010 BMW M3 that was covered in hard water spots.........not a problem, after some rotary action and d/a polishing this gem was glowing!....

Was the water spots from lime?
My sister was in a parking garage and the lime from the cement dripped onto her paint. I had to use the wool pad on the rotary to get them out.

Was the water spots from lime?
My sister was in a parking garage and the lime from the cement dripped onto her paint. I had to use the wool pad on the rotary to get them out.

The water spots were from the owners father rinsing his car off with the hose (tap water) then allowing the water to dry on the surface while the sun was beating down on the finish. The spots were then a combination of calcium and lime above the surface and etching into the surface due to the water heating up on the surface from the contaminants and the suns rays.

I was able to use a the rotary with a combination of 4" pads with M205 and then D/A with 4" and M205 followed with the D/A and M21
