  • My '05 Porsche Cayenne S

So even though it's January now, we had some decent weather last week so on New Year's Eve I wanted to wash and wax the Porsche (2005) - only has very minor swirls so no correction done! Anyway, after 3 hours my wife comes home and wants me to do the Opel Astra!
Anyway, here's a couple after pics of the Porsche. I wanted to do some before/after of the Astra but it was almost dark so I just did some quick washing, by-hand correction, and wax. Enjoy the pics and if you see something messed up, let me know! BTW - I'll do more correction on the Astra when it warms up and do the before/after photos. But I used Deep Crystal Step 1 only on the main scratches and the hood - it's in pretty bad shape, but after a good claying and prepping in the spring, it's going to look new again!
Not worth listing any products as I just washed and waxed (not Meguiars). Except I used Supreme Shine on the plastic parts of the grille, windshield wiper arms, and the side mirror plastic mounts.

Oh yeah, and no sun pics because, as you can see - THERE'S NO SUN!

Thanks! I just noticed the front wheel wells. I don't have anything to dress them - any suggestions? I'm not a pro, so anything I can pick up off Amazon (since I'm overseas) would be the best. Cheers!

Hyper Dressing or All Season Dressing would be good.

Great Car, I bet that thing is fast.

Hyper Dressing or All Season Dressing is popular for wheel wells.

But for your now, your Supreme Shine is a temporary fix. But it won't be able to withstand the weather.

YES - she is very fast

The Supreme Shine made it look 100% better, and I figured it wouldn't last long. What would work better to withstand the weather? Is there such a thing? Thanks!

              yes of course

all season dressing will withstand the rain for a good while..

hyper dressing is water bases so as soon as it rains good the surface will be bare again

That's great and good to know about HD - I was just considering buying the HD off Amazon, but now that I know it's not going to last, the ASD will do the trick. Thanks everybody!

Just ordered the ASD. How can I effectively apply it to the wheel wells? With a terry towel? They're kinda nasty down there! Thanks again for the tips. MOL is awesome.

Yeah, thanks! I'm almost waiting do to some correction on this one since I just got it in November, but of course I'm going to keep her looking nice! I found out that she needs a claying on the roof. Seems like the dealer didn't do that when doing the "detailing" before I bought it. Oh well - I'll take care of it!
