  • Advance Detail Chile-Nismo 350z (nothing to do the 1st)

Its 1st January and everything is closed what can someone do this day? well i was bored and looking at my Nismo 350z that was in need of a wash and detail, so i worked on it a couple of hours to make it look better when visit comes.

i snaped some pics on the condition it was:

As you can see it was very dirty, but asides from some minor swirling from the usual shelf dusting it was good

The wash started with a 1 faucet method using NXT soap, after that i dried using a microfiber, i dried the whole car with just 1 microfiber!!

a wheel brush and APC was used for the wheels and tires, i did not remove them because i sealed them when i bought the car

mild clay and Last touch were used for the claying process, not much was removed but left the paint smooothhhh..

after a last touch wipe down i inspected the paint and found minor swirls, so SWIRLX and a yellow pad was used for correccion, i had to do the whole car by hand because my 1/4" inch pads havent arrived yet.
    Before:

    Correction:

after a 1:1 alcohol wipe down to check the correcction i desided to use NXT paste wax,

    while that cured,

my attention went to the interior, it was very dirty, but after some cleaning and some hyper dressing everything was back to new.

    Before:

    During:

    After:

next the exaust was hand polished using NXT Metal Polish.

    Like NEWWW!!

the engine also recieved some mild cleaning.
    Before:

    After:

by now the wax was ready for removal but after one last thing.... All Season on the tires... for that high gloss shine!!

now the car was wiped clean of the wax residue and final pictures were taken!! this car...er....toy... was dripping wet from the gloss!!

i need to find something to polish rightt???

now let me see what else i find....

You got me and tickled my funny bone

      "1 faucet method"

      "1/4 inch pads"

What, no Sun gun or halogens? No sun shots?

Was hoping to see a 50/50 of the correction...

Almost makes me want to detail my exotics... Hmm.... now where did I put my Diablo, F40, F50 and McLaren F1?

Nice job. Look forward to seeing more of your work in 2010.

          Happy New Year!!!

WOW! You sure do take good care of your toy cars! My ford Mustang car is in a box of old matchbox cars in the basement somewhere! I'm jealous! I may just have to take it out and see what can be done to it! I would need some body work and touch up paint because it has been tossed into a bucket of little metal cars. It'd be4 a project until spring! I am very impressed with the way it turned out! It looks like it hasn't ever been on the road before! hahaha!
