just got this email from the guy

It runs good. The top speed is about 70 MPH right now and it has a range of about 25 to 30 miles. I am using an 8" ADVANCED DC motor connected via drive shaft to a 4:11 rear end, so it has moderate take off from the line.
Starting on an incline is somewhat of a problem but a new gear ratio should cure this problem. My goal is to have a top speed of 50 MPH and a range of 50 miles. We started a web site www.eroadsters.info It needs a lot of work but it has additional pictures.

That would make a nice car to do errands around town in, looks like a hot rod but is eco-friendly. Very creative, i hope it goes well for them. BTW, the link to their site isn't working.

Very cool! Electrics are my thing, so if you need any help I can probably offer some information. Curious, whats that weight? And is the little cap in the rear between the tail lights the charger plug? What Controller are you using in that thing? For a little bit more range try running the tires at max sidewall pressure and watch the wear patterns and adjust accordingly.

I wish I had known that was at SEMA, I'd have looked for it. I also heard Dennis Berube had his Current Eliminator 8.801 second dragster at a booth over at APEX.

Thats an awsome car. Best thing is you dan't have the environmental nuts going after you.
Does the car have gears, or does it just go faster the more juice you give it aka one gear. Strap a couple of mounts on the back of that thing and you have a great golf cart. 50mph, see if the Marshall can keep up.

                Great car Scoot

I haven't gotten full specs from the guy yet, he's hard to get a hold of (checks emails once a month). So I don't know what kind of gear box he's running.

We just put a new servo and speed controller in our cart out in the desert and it'll do a good 45 mph
