We did work on a 06 GT500, touched a bit of everything in the car: interior, engine, a little paint correction, removed front and rear wheels to clean and seal off wheels and remove all rubber from rear wheel wells. Everyone always tells me to take more pictures during the detail so I took a bunch this time. Cool story about this car: It is the fastest GT500 in the world with a stock motor/blower with a time of 11.9. The best mod on the car is the driver mod!
The owner is an excellent driver with a manual. The new wheel and tire set up for next season should have him in the high 10's. The car is going to be featured in the a couple mustang magazines so the owner wanted us to clean it up a bit for the upcoming photoshoots.
Stuff used:
-Meguiar's Hyperwash to presoak and wash
-Meguiar's Mild and Aggressive claybars were used in various areas to remove rubber.
-Meguiar's All Purpose cleaner on the interior carpet and wheel wells/struts/brakes/door jams
-Meguiar's Wheel Brightner on wheels
-Meguiar's M205 by hand on muffler tips/underside of hood/door jams
-Migliore Brilliant Trim Protectant on interior/exterior trim/plastics (owner wanted a natural finish with no shine)
-Migliore Bella Lustra Tire Glaze on tires
-Zaio Clear Seal on wheels/underside of hood/muffler tips
-Menzerna SIP for paint correction
-Menzerna Finishing Polish for shine
-Blackfire Wet Diamond to protection
Here are the pics:
Engine:
Engine was pretty clean, just a little dusty here and there. Washed it and dressed it. The underside of the hood was washed, hand polished and sealed off. The same process was used on the carbon fiber parts:
