  • Tricky 2006 Pontiac Vibe Detail

I am here once again posting another winter prep detail. This is an 06 vibe in pretty sad condition. I have it all weekend so I will be able to make it like new again( I hope). It is going to be tough because it has soft, thin, dark paint with loads of scratches and flaws. The interior is not bad, but the black seats do show some slight water spots and other little messes.

Here are the befores for now. Sorry for the bad camera and lighting. It was 5:30 and pitch black so I had to resort to taking pictures in the garage.

Clearly a lot of work ahead of me here.

Thanks for looking at this sneek peek of whats to come later this weekend!

You have a bit of a challenge on your hands. I have done some work a couple of times on a 2003 Vibe in the metallic Black. The hardest thing on that one is getting all the dead bugs, etc off the fron fascia. But when you get the paint right on those cars.....

The front does just **** up bugs, doesn't it. I know exactly what you mean. They are indescribable when they are done just right.

That thing's a mess. Good luck.

I'm assuming GM used different paint on my G5, it's hard as rock.

BTW, a 5 speed Vibe should be some fun.

The G5 would have a more typical GM paint. The Vibe is/was made in a joint venture plant in California along with the Toyota Matrix. The paint seems more like Toyota paint IMHO......

The vibe and matrix are basically the same car
