  • some metal polishing

I've been doing a lot of metal polishing lately and just wanted to share a couple pieces I did. These were actually for a race car so I was asked not to remove the stains from the valve covers as they will get stained again, but over all the pieces came out looking good. These are all stainless pieces

    Process:
    -sanded with 800 grit paper
    -sanded with 1000 grit paper
    -buffed with brown Tripoli
    -buffed with stainless steel emery
    -buffed with white rogue
    -polished with jewelers rogue
-finished withe Wenol metal polish and Meguiar's all metal polish

used various sizes of buffing wheels and spiral buffs

It's stainless... I was surprised as well I though it was aluminum, the owner had a custom turbo made and the housing is 100% stainless....it was also a lot harder of a metal compared to the aluminum wheels (even forged aluminum) and other pieces I have done
