  • My new baby gets the NXT treatment!

Well, my new baby arrived to my driveway this past weekend. It's a boy! (I think). First thing I did was to give it a fresh coat of NXT from front to back. Finish was pretty much flawless, but I figure good wax can never hurt.

Best way to start a new car off on the right track, eh?

You would not think that claying would make a difference on a new car, but I clayed both my new truck and the new paint on my car which made a tremendous difference.

Great idea to clay. I have been looking at some models at a dealership that were outside and they are suprisingly rough to the touch!

I did not clay this time. The finish did not feel too rough to me, however thay may be because they rolled it off the truck still wrapped in plastic. It never had time to sit outside in the elements (as far as I know). I figured claying was only necessary if the finish felt rough to the touch.

A question on the NXT: about how often does this need to be re-applied? My old rule of thumb has been if water doesn't bead on the hood, it's time for a new coat of wax. I'm figuring on once every 4 months or so.
