Hey Mike, is that the 3 inch wool pad being used on the DA on the right?

No, that's a full size backing plate. We noticed a deeper mark that wouldn't buff out so it's being sanded a bit. Notice the almost pinkish color at the edge of the backing plate? Notice the almost pinkish color of the sanding discs at the top of this thread? There ya go.

It's so obvious now (after seeing the new D/A Microfiber system), but where are the sanding marks from that "sanding disc" as Mike calls it, that Kevin is using in the photo above?

OK, here's the deal.

Part 3 was supposed to be the big reveal of what was actually used on this project, and it was supposed to happen several months ago. But, as these things sometimes go, development changes/upgrades/tweaks delayed release of the final product. It is now essentially wrapped up and will debut at SEMA just as we normally intro new products.

We aren't at liberty to say anything more at this time, sorry. But SEMA is only a month away, so it won't be long now!

I figured there must have been a change of plans or something. Thankfully SEMA is just around the corner, as you said.

Part 3 involves the use of some products that aren't quite out yet. It will come along as we introduce those new products. And, no, you don't have to wait for SEMA 2010 for these!!!

I know it has been a while. In fact it is almost time for SEMA 2010.

Any update on Part 3 of this project and/or the other remaining new products you guys used on this project?

Maybe the recently introduced Detailer Line - Quik Interior Detailer and X-Press Spray Wax were the products you used that were not quite out yet?

Calm down guys, it's not like we haven't done this before. If you recall, Ultimate Quik Detailer was a mid year release when it came out. We do things like that......... keeps you on your toes.
