Howzabout some closeups of that rear wheel. That's usually everyone's Achilles heel.

Thanks!
Washed the entire bike from top to bottom with NXT Generation Car Wash and a Microfiber Wash mitt , used some Meguiars Body Solvent on the bugs and let dwell for a couple of minutes.
Dried the bike with several Water Magnets and compressed air.
clayed everything, including the chrome. The customer only wanted a Wash/Clay/AIO/ finishing wax. I did a little extra and hit some RIDS by hand with Ultimate Compound, did what I could by machine with SwirlX, did the hard to reach spots and where the machine couldnt go with SwirlX and a foam applicator pad.
Then I waxed it by hand with M20 for a liitle more cleaning ability, topped with M21.
all chrome got HR Chrome Polish, windshield got PlastX, seats got Quik Interior detailer as well, used compressed air, brushes, and QID on the plastic and gauges, and various buttons.
As for the wheels, I will snap a few pictures of them tomorrow.Nick

Re: Red Harley Davidson Detail
Great job Nick! Judging by the before pics it really needed 15 hours of TLC!
My Father In Law wants me to do his Harley....never done a bike before so it should be an interesting experience. For those who fought for it, freedom has a flavor the protected will never know.

At least on those wheels you only have the edge of the rim and inner hubs to polish. Some genius at H-D that's obviously never polished a wheel in his life designed the '09/'10 wheels with 28-spokes, all with a polished facing surface. Tough to get yer mitts in between the rotors and pulley to get any repeated 'passion' into them. Best done when the wheels are off for a rubber change..... which most owners don't do themselves so they never get a thorough job and just get worse and worse.
I polished some RIDS and swirls out of one of those Burgandy Cherry Pearl tanks a few weeks ago. 105/205 and the LSP had it gleaming, as yours was. I'm still whacking my head against the wall on Harley's vivid Black though. The pearl/metallic paints seem plenty hard but the black is soft and sticky. Can't seem to find the right combo to get 205 to finish without marring although Ultrafina works great. Then the first time you spritz it with UQD and give a wipe with a soft, plush MF there's some new marks for you.
Maybe I'll just cover it up with rattle-can bedliner and ride it instead of polishing it.
