Mercedes ML 550 - Extreme Wheel Cleaning

Here we have a newer Mercedes Benz ML 550. I usually wash this truck once or twice a week but that slipped and it went without a wash for a month, but the brake dust on this truck was terrible . It took an entire hour to clean all four wheels, tires and wheelwells.

Yes, I did clean the inside of the wheels, I forgot to take a close up picture, but in some of them you can see how much cleaner they are and not pure black.

I'm amazed at the amount of brake dust after just a month. If I was the owner, I'd be switching to a different pad.

Wowzaz, that definitely must have been a pain doin the insides too! Did you use wheel brightener?

First thing I did was fill up a bucket of hot water with 8 oz of Deep Crystal Car Wash, throw a wheel brush, spoke brush and toilet brush in there.

Then the wheels were sprayed with water, then I sprayed a liberal amount of WB on and inside the wheel, agitate with various brushes, rinse, then repeat.

ended up going through 2 bottles of WB. The toilet brush also did the best job of cleaning inside the wheel too.

Nice job. Wheels are sometimes tought to get looking 100%. You did a great job on these wheels!

It blows my mind that people can neglect their vehicles to this degree, though I can't complain too much because it gives us all a reason to make money.

You did a great job - we all appreciate your efforts and you can be proud knowing you're the reason this guy will be driving around in a vehicle minus the stereo type.

Which one you ask? The one where Mercedes owners all seem to think: "Cars take care of themselves."
