  • Acura CL - Full wet-sand and buff

    Hey all,

My friend asked me to detail his car on which after inspecting it, I said it will take minimum two days for me detail it. He agreed to give me the car for the weekend for full detail. After washing it and inspecting it, turned turned out it was all scratched up. It was scratched so bad, that it required sanding. This was the first time I wet sanded the whole car (except mine when had a scratch) and overall this project took me around 18 hours. It included wet sand, buff, and cleaning whole interior which was a mess. Sorry don't have any pictures of the interior. Anyways, I'll let pictures do the talking.

    BEFORE:

    Huge dent/scratch

    DURING:

Huge scratch removed, dent remained, though less visible

AFTERS: Ended around 8pm and since it was dark didn't get had a chance to take good shots.

    Thanks for looking.

Forgot to add the process and I just remembered, lol sorry

-Parts that had big/deep scratched I used 1500grit 3M paper
                    -Everywhere else I used 2000grit 3M paper
-Followed by Meguiars M105 with wool pad (W4000) I think that's what its called
-Ran out of M105, so I used M95 (didn't know it was different color)
-Followed by D151 Recondition Paint Cream with yellow pad
-Followed by NXT Tech 2.0 by hand

The hood, and both fenders had the hardest clear coat I've ever seen, while both doors had the softest clear coat I've ever seen. Scratches soooo easily.
