I must be a glutton for punishment. This is the second car I've buffed, and also the second black car I've buffed.
It's a 2006 Acura TSX with ~55k miles. 18" Work Emotion CR-KAI wheels. Koni yellows with Ground Control coilovers.
Wash: Meguiar's Gold Class shampoo and chenille wash mitt, 2 bucket method with grit guards
Clay: Mother's clay bar from the local Advance Auto with 1:1 Meguiars D155 Last Touch as a lubricant.
Wash again.
Correction: Meguiar's M105 Ultra Cut, G110 DA machine, and W8207 polishing pad.
Polish: Meguiar's M205 Ultra Finishing Polish, G110 DA machine, and W8207 polishing pad.
LSP: Blackfire Wet Diamond, G110 DA machine, and W9207 fishing pad.
Loads of microfiber towels: Meguiar's Water Magnet for drying, Meg's Supreme Shine and ADS Premiums.
Here is what we were left with after washing and claying:

Scratches and water marks in the roof:

Hood:

Bird droppings etched into the hood:



Cat claw scratches:


Scratches in the door handle pockets:

The hood has some pretty bad streaks in the paint too, but they were tough to capture with a camera:



Spots and streaks on the rear trunk lid too:

The paint on this car was extremely hard. Time to order some more aggressive pads! After SEVERAL passes using Meg's M105 Ultra Cut Compound:
Cat scratches are gone and we now have some clear reflections:

Bird etching and streaks are gone from the hood:




Streaks and other problems on the trunk lid were taken care of:
