2007 Lexus LS 460

I just finished up this Lexus today, put about 15 hours into it. The owner wanted to get it prepped for winter.

One thing I notice is that many good citizens avoid buying the black version of this car... This car has a solid gangster status. This is the type of car, if in black, could avoid getting pulled over by cops on an empty street during midnight hours. A black LS460 is also a potentially lethal car to drive at night if the windows are tinted.

Thats interesting, I didnt know that. And no, the paint was pretty soft and easy to polish.

Wash tires and wheelwells with Deep Crystal Car Wash and All Purpose Cleaner

Wipe down engine with a Water Magnet Microfiber Drying Towel and warm water and dress with #40 - Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner

Wash car with Shampoo Plus and dry with two Water Magnet Microfiber Drying Towel

Clay car with Mild Clay and Last Touch Spray Detailer
#66 - Quick Detailer (Cleaner/Wax) on the D.A topped with two applications of Ultimate Quik Wax

dress tires and wheelwells with Hyper-Dressing (straight)

Wipe down interior with Quik Interior Detailer and a light vacumm.

I was JUST going to ask! Did you have to agitate the rims much with the wheel brightener? Fantastic job too. It almost hurt me to see him put his handprint on the car when you were done.

First thing I did was spray the wheel down with cold water for about a minute. Then I sprayed the wheel with WB five or six times, after that I dipped a Versa Angle Wheel Brush in a bucket of Deep Crystal Car Wash soap and cold water, then I agitated the wheel with the Versa Angle Wheel brush and a generic spoke brush for the harder to reach areas.

Also, the process I listed above was just my "main" process, there was other small stuff that was done like the door jambs, windows, etc.

Tuck91: Great job on that Lexus, it looks great. I am surprised you didn't use ASD on the tires, I read your previous posts and I know that you like ASD a lot. I am curious to try it myself.
