My first detail attempt *updated* 2nd coat of NXT

What do you all think of my first detail????

Thanks to everyone here at the forums for getting me motivated and "car crazy" ;-)

I use to have the belief that those shiny, wet, slick finishes were reserved for the super professional detailers .. I would have never thought that an "at home enthusiast" would be able to acheive such excellent results.

I only discovered the forums a week ago, and I've been a avid reader every day ;-) .. There is just SO MUCH GOOD info here .. and SO MANY excellent results with the Meguiars range that I went out last weekend and bought myself a whole lot of Meguiars products ;-)

Anyway: here are the results ...

Before: (last wash was over 6 months ago) paint chips, swirls all through, scratches, keyed panels .. so many defects



I've been keyed and heaps of swirling



AFTER

NXT Wash; Clay; Scratch X; NXT Wax (only one application)



OMG .. where's the scratch ??



It's still there, but thank you Meguiars .. NOW I"M REFLECTING LIKE A PRO

Unfortunately here in Australia we don't get the PC so I'm buying a GMC random orbital this weekend. Will attack my SUV and get to applying 2x coats of NXT wax. Should be able to do it as now I know what to expect. Last weekends attempts took me about 11 hours. I couldn't believe the time when I finished. I'll work a lot faster this sunday.

2nd Coat of NXT (still all by hand)

My 2nd coat of NXT this stuff is amazing ;-)

Finally got around to applying my 2nd coat of NXT (a week after the first coat) ..

Still all done by hand .. I've just bought myself a Random Orbital and am waiting for my pads to arrive from the US ... I wonder how much more I can get out of it ..

What do you think of the results so far ??? 2x NXT
