  • New to forum, My new paint job!

    Hi all,
Im new here, just thought Id introduce myself and take this opprotunity to show off a few pics of my paint job (did bodywork myself. I have built this car myself in my garage for carving corners on back roads (sideways ) and a little drag racing.

As the car sits, I just need to install the exterior trim.

Thanks for the comments, guys. I will take some more pics after the paint cures to 100% and I get a fresh coat of gold class on it.

Sweet ride While you're waiting for the paint to fully cure, you could always use some #80 to keep the fresh paint clean and put a bit of protection on it

yeah, there were bad runs in the mirrors, so they had to repaint them ant the wing too.

Today I sent the whole car back to some minor imperfections (runs, ect). It just needs another good wetsand.

edit- yes, its a Jackson racing supercharger, with a Custom nose pully for an additional 4lb of boost. Using AFPR, MSD timing retard, and walbro 255lph fuel pump for management.

Looks good I think the stock tail lights would look better than the altezzas. What suspension do you have.

                            Hi,

I have just had a couple of pannels painted on my uk nissan 200sx (240sx in the usa) and I was wondering what is the best way of protecting fresh paint...but still allowing the paint to outgas for a few weeks.....

                            Cheers,

                            Mike

Suspension is tokikio shocks and arospeed coilovers. Right now the ride height is set for 12.5"f 13"r from center of wheel to fender lip. I drop it down to somewhere in the 11's for shows.

As for the altezzas, I like them. Just something a little different from everone else who has stock or the chrome ones. Bling Bling!

Anyway, I just finished up claying the car and putting on a couple coats of gold class, and the finish is even more reflective than before. The car looks so good I dont want to drive it, we will see how long that lasts.
