  • 12 hours of hardcore paint poilishing.........

I was called by a guy that had a 67 El Camino. I was told the paint , "looks pretty good" and "wasn't that bad."

When you first see the El Camino you would think he was correct. Upon closer examination we see the real condition.

After it was washed it was moved into my garage.

Plenty of swirls, plenty of scratches.

Here is the obligatory "look how dirty my clay is getting" shot.

Many of the scratches were plenty deep. After I check paint thickness I spot sanded as needed.

After a little masking to help facilitate clean up I went to it with a rotary buffer and wool pads.

After about 12 hours of work it was late. The sun had long retired for the day. I'd have to wait until the next day to inspect the work in full sun.

The following day was a beautiful sunny day. The perfect day to enjoy the re-newed shine on the 67!!

Thanks fellas. No interior shots. I didnt touch the interior. I wish I would have taken a pic of the engine. It is a dual over head cam small bock chevy believe it or not.

Joe, beautiful work. It was nice to see another one of your details. I haven't been seeing too much lately.

By the way, was that mobility device needed by you after you finished this car?

Awesome work from the master.. master what? I'm not saying...

Gran trabajo José. El Impala se ve realmente impresionante. Es increíble que se haya podido lograr esos resultados en sólo doce horas! Supongo que tengo que aprender a ser mucho más rápido! Awesome, impresionante trabajo!

On a weird side note... Every time I read one of your posts I always read in in your accent like you where narrating the thread to me. Does anybody else who knows Joe do this as well?
