Last weekend I detailed my sisters 1997 Olds Aurora w/197K on the clock. This is a daily driver and is not garaged. This had to be the hardest paint I have worked on of the few cars I have done. I ended up using 105 &/or Ultimate compound on a 7207 pad on the G100 and did some spots with the 7207 pad on a rotary. I know you are not supposed to use the 7207 pad on the G100 but it worked for this application. It was a trick I learned from Jason Rose at the Midwest Get-together. So Jason if you see this, I was listening to you.
Here is the process:
Wash 2 bucket w/Nxt soap
Smooth clay
105 or ultimate compound on 7207 pad using G100 (rotary in some places)
205 on 8207 pad using G100
M7
NXT2 wax
The pictures are not the best. It was overcast when we started. I would say this car is probably 80% correction. I would like better but my sister & brother-in-law say it looks better than when they bought it.

Afters:

Thanks for looking.
