Gang,
Here's our Yukon, did a wash and quick detail (no paint correction) and did some damage to our headlights and some Hot Shine on the ol' tires and an engine bay wash.....Working nights made me a hermit and I had to get outside and do something to the car!
This Yukon has 142,000 miles + on the clock and doesn't look half bad!
Our engine bay was really dusty, nothing leaking yet so it was not too difficult to clean. Used Super Degreaser and APC both diluted 7:1 and I threw in some Etching Mag cleaner for giggles.
Gang when cleaning your engine bay, be careful with electronics and the such, if you don't think it needs to get wet, then don't do it......Also, if the engine is piping hot, don't spray nice cold water on your engine, cracked blocks are no fun! I did not have a whole lot to worry about, I stayed away from the alternator, fuse panel and did not spray the coil packs with straight water, just misted them clean.

Whoops, missed a spot on camera but went over it again.....
Really!

Bummer, gonna get that fixed soon. Happened a few days ago and is growing by the day!

Did a little wetsanding/buffer/PlastX by hand action....Sorry no other pictures really....Sanded with 1000, 2500, 4000, M105 - 8007 - PlastX 8007 - PlastX by hand to finish. There is some sort of coating on it that I couldn't really break through by hand sanding, so I got brave and stuck the disk on my G100 and went to town and it helped. When using a rotary buffer on plastic, be very careful, heat is not your friend with these plastic headlights. I always checked and I used a little spritz of LT (just experimenting) on them. They turned out pretty good. I do love the GM SUV's, the headlights come out so easy which makes it easy! I really need to get new ones though....Honey! you listening?

Just a good ol' scrubbing with GC wash and Hot Shine on tires! Tried to use UQW but the wind picked up and just blows it the other direction.....The headlights turned out pretty good.

I love M40 on plastics and GC Trim Detailer on outside plastics, great stuff! The M40 keeps the Yukon smelling new!

Gotta love GCTD! Makes the plastics on these GM SUV's looking new!

Yeah, I needed to do the tail lights, but I ran out of back muscles and I was Tired! Next time, It doesn't need a whole lot of paint correction! Step 5 of 5 keeps the paint correction to a minimum! I also sprayed a liberal amount of ASD on the wheel wells, gotta love GMC's that have the plastic wheel wells!

I mentioned that I use Etching wheel cleaner (acid) a lot as I get brave and try it on stuff. Be careful with that stuff and I think Wheel Brightner falls under that category gang! This exhaust pipe was black when I started, a few squirts of the acid cleaner and bam, it really does a job, it also doesn't react to paint very well......so be careful and use it wisely and test spot always!

Not much but it was fun to clean her up!
Thanks for looking......
