  • First Post! Explorer Sport Track

My buddy is away in Iraq and is going to be returning home soon and his parents wanted me to detail his car before he arrived home. The pictures are not that great but you can get an idea of how it turned out!

    Paint:

    Clay
    NXT Wax 1.0

    Before:

    Engine Before:

    Interior 50/50s:

    Afters (quality no good!)

And my two helpers holding hands!

    Enjoy!

How to place an image in your message

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

      I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
      Remove swirls my friends.

When uploading images, it's best to have two tabs open - one with the thread you're creating and one with the gallery open.

Putting your image in your message:

Right click on the image in your gallery (the large pic, not the thumbnail)
            Click on Properties
Click on the link by where it says Location until the whole link is selected
            Right click and select Copy
Go back to your thread, click on the button with the mountains and the sun on it
When the little box pops up, right click in the box and click Paste
            Click OK
            Voila!

This way, your pics will come out like this:

Some of my instructions might differ slightly depending on your computer and your browser. But it will still work either way. Hope this helps!

I used a product by Bluemagic called Leather and Vinyl Cleaner. I had never tried it before but it worked really well and seemed really gentle...i guess it is PH balanced.

Nice! I just got myself a Ford Ranger XLT, white. Is it me, or are Ford's paint really really hard? I figured, hey I'll go with the least aggressive combo first. M205 on a white pad. No luck. Swirl X on a white pad. No luck. UC on a green pad. No luck. At this point, I said screw it. M105 on a LC orange pad, and it finally did the trick.

Detailers clean places nobody see. Detailer see's things nobody else see. But if you ask a Detailer to see how a dress looks on a woman, they are blind.
