Awesome finish, I am wanting to try some Blackfire products here in the future. Mostly the Blackfire Midnight Sun Wax.

Anyways, Great work. I really like reading your posts and seeing the Before and after. Great job.

WOW, that was terrible what the prior detailer did, I would have been pissed...

Outstanding results I would have to say!!

                nice save mate.
why people seem to think they can detail a car and leave it in that state i dont know?
at least now your client can look at there car in awe rather than sadness.
did you take any ptg measurements?
with how the last alledged detailer had left it i would of been a tad concerned how much clear coat he had removed.
i can imagine it was a couple of days at least but the end result says it all.

The paint just BLUES me away! It is BLUE-T-FUL !

Another day at the shop for Todd. Nice save there.

How much time did you have wrapped up in that one? Don't be shy- we know it took some effort to get it straightened out.

Todd, go buy yourself an American Cigar... Job well done.
I was going to post a picture of smoking a cigar as a spoof but figured it probably wasn't in the best taste. In the end the car came out as close to perfect as possible.

I have detailed cars between a couple hours and several weeks.

I seen mixed reviews on those 4' pads, but they seem to work great.
The owner must have been floored!!!
I love the 4 inch pads on a rotary or with a DA. Thank you for the compliments!

Thanks Andrew. This one didn't require that much work, the cleaning of the previous detailers mistakes took the longest. The interior took maybe an hour and half? The exterior paint correction was around 10 hours, I think, maybe a little less. Over all the car took 16 hours, from start to finish. I charge by the hour.

I like the mini-Flex rotary (pictured, same body as the Flex DA). I do not like the larger Flex rotary. Thank you for the compliements as well!

Yes this is the same car . It wasn't so much as the car was treated badly as was the detailer in question was pretending to be a detailer and thought that the more he read on the internet the better he would be preppared. He must have called me at least 3 times, maybe more, during the detail, asking how to fix stuff. The worst part is he was arrogant and didn't want to listen, even though he kept messing it up!

I am glad you were able to repair the paint damage the other "detailer" did!!! Hopefully the owner will get that "detailer" to pay for the trim damage!!!!

                            Tim
The other detailer has completely feel of the face of the planet and refuses to pay the damage (over 4K) even though he charged (and was paid) over 4k for the detail. He is a fraud, IMO. Luckily through my mastery of photoshop I was able to convince the owner that his car looks better now!

What's a shame is those problems are easily preventable by taking some extra time to mask properly.

Good news is you now have a new customer!
Thanks RDT4ME. The crazy this is the client orginally thought he was hiring me.

Yes the client was upset. Namely that the detailer pretended to be a detailer, charged in excess of 4k, ruined the car, and disappeared from the face of the Earth.
