  • My Insight

Hi everyone,I've been really pushed for time recently and havn't had the time to take any pics of my Civic. But I clean forgot that I had my Insight on computer.

I used the Deep Crystal kit here:

Is there an easier way to upload pics into messages?.....It took me four times........I'm exhausted!

    Eddie.

Thanks for the advice! If you forget to select copy, and don't check the url.....aaaagggh!

I used to have an HRV 1.6 sport, but changed it for the Insight to save money on gas.I get double the runnin' with the Insight.(I changed because of the prices in Europe, mainly).

I havn't tried the Prius or any other hybrids for that matter,so I can't compare them. It is a really nice car to drive. It has got good sharp steering responce as with most Hondas. I think the interior is really cool! Makes the driving more pleasureable.

There is one thing that really bugs me though, regarding these hybrids. There is a poular TV car show over here called Top Gear(don't know if you see it in the states),and they're always raggin' on these cars. They tested it against another normal car, driving aggressively and then said it wasn't economical. 'Well DUH!' You are supposed to drive them in a manner which gives economical results, which it does, even if you have to do overtaking now and again.

It really is a stupid show. They always right off Japanese and American cars. To me the show is nothing more than an advert for european cars, especially german cars.

I hope you don't get that show in the states!

                Re: My Insight

Car looks great! I think this is the best hybrid honda has put out and I agree the interior of the hondas has been great as of late and really looks good.

On top gear yeah we do get it, sometimes I really like it and sometimes I hate it. The way they rate things is if it doesnt have power and doesnt go around the track fast it ***** which not all cars are ment for so idk. I didnt like when they raced the bullet train against the gtr and he said the car was boring, you get all that power and still comfort. I really prefer the show super cars expossed imho

But the car really does look great! Gotta love those HID lights!

                    Re: My Insight

Hi Everyone, thanks for the compliments! I was hoping to have my Civic here already, but by the time I get round to it,I'll have to give it a good going over again.Plus I need to detail my engine bay. It's a bit tatty looking.

As far as Top Gear goes:Years ago,it was a very good program. It used to start off, looking at what's new, then there was advice on buying second hand cars, then a section about motorcycles and of course a bit of humour. It was actually better to watch from an educational point of view.

While it has a lot of humour in it,and is funny, there's nothing really in it anymore that benefits enthusiasts or anyone buying cars(unless they are loaded).I tend to find, also they normally review german cars more than any other.I don't have a problem with these cars, but there is a lot of other makes out there that are good cars but don't get reviewed.

I prefer Fifth Gear.At least it's presented by someone that is a Driver and has had experience on the track.

Overhaulin' and,Wrecks to Riches are way more better. It's fun, educational and you get to see fantastic makeovers. Those guys really know what they are doing!!!!!!

                    Anyway,thanks again...Eddie.

Eddie, nice car you have there. From what I understand, it's hard to find a nice reliable car in Italy(?) Good luck with it!

Hi MF,You know about that aswell! To be honest,I like all cars, but reliability has to come into play aswell.I've been buying Hondas for many years now and have found them to be very reliable.A lot of cars here tend to have silly, annoying faults. That would just bug me.
Since I was a kid,I've always loved the old muscle cars. It's just the cost of gas in europe that prevents me.

Maybe you'll know this.... I passed a 1978 Corvette one day.It was a cream color.Did they do that model in cream,or has it been repainted?

                            Bye,eddie.

Now that I could not help you out with as I do not know too much about Corvettes. Ask me about Honda's, Toyota's or Lexus. That I can help you out on.
