  • 2002 Black Mustang - Before and Afters

I used the following method on my wife's black mustang:

    1. Wash with Gold Class car wash and dried with micro fiber towels
    2. DACP (#83) applied with PC on setting 5 over entire vehicle
    and removed with micro fiber
(it was clayed not to long ago and still felt smooth to the
touch so I was able to skip this step)
    3. Swirl Free polish (#82) applied with PC on setting 4 over
entire vehicle and removed with micro fiber
    4. NXT Tech wax applied with PC on setting 3 over entire vehicle
    and removed with micro fiber.

I tried to take some decent before and after pictures but I had the car in my garage so they are not the greatest but I believe you can still see a difference.

    Here is
My Gallery if you wish to see all of the pictures.

Here are a few before and afters:

Here are some problem spots I still have even after DACP.

I did all this on a Saturday and only yesterday (wednesday) was able to see it under the sun. It looked real good. I could see a few spots that need a little more work but overall I was very pleased. I will try and get soem pictures of it this weekend under some sun but it will need to be rewashed as it has a little bit of dust on it!
I also plan on starting on my 2004 black F-150 if the weather holds out as I would like to get pictures of the two vehicles together. I think it would make for an awesome picture!

thanks for looking and feel free to comment, good or bad!

        Great job!

Now that you've spent several hours to get it to where you want it, make sure that you utilize proper washing/drying techniques to minimize additional scratching.

Excellent job! Black vehicles are a beautiful thing when they're in GREAT shape like your Mustang! Thanks for sharing your technique!
