  • 5 hours of work on my 07 Cadillac CTS

I bought this 2007 Cadillac CTS two weeks ago as a lease return. It has sports-luxury package: 3.6L V6, dual exhaust, spoiler, 18in chrome rims, heated and memory seats, two-tone (gray/black) interior, wood trim, etc. The car was in pretty good condition, with nearly no blemish or defects on the paint, just dirt and water marks. Today I had nothing to do, so I decided to give the car a good cleaning and waxing. It started to rain when I was almost done waxing, so I had to pull the car in the garage and continue the work, therefore all the pictures are took inside. I will take it out tomorrow and take some more pictures.

I'm going to work on the 2001 Honda Accord tomorrow or some time next week. It's got many scratches, and has never been properly maintained. It's been through a hail storm as well, so there are countless little dents on the body, no idea how to fix that myself, probably have to take it to some body shop...

The Caddy looks great! The Accord...needs some TLC. Don't forget to do something about the headlights on that thing, they look atrocious! Have fun detailing it, and don't forget to post pics when you're done! BTW, what was your process on the Caddy?

BTW, if you're looking for a good combo to use on that Accord, you can use ColorX, M07, and Gold Class wax. I used that combo on my parent's 2000 silver Accord, and it came out great! Makes the silver really glow. I need to get better pics of that Accord in the daytime, but here's a general idea of what it looks like.

Just a note, if the paint has a lot of scratches and swirls in it, you might just substitute Ultimate Compound in place of the ColorX.

I just ordered UC a few days ago, so when that comes in the mail (along with the new clay) I'll start the Accord. And the Accord is my parents' car too, haha and they're away on business trip, so hopefully they'll get a happy surprise when they come back.

Caddy looks great. I hope you enjoy it for a long time.

On the Accord try a paintless dent repair. When we had our Cts, it went through a hail storm. The pdr guy did a great job on it.

The CTS looks great, what a beautiful car. I have the same color Accord, my write up is on the forum as well

As I promised - more pictures. But it's extremely cloudy today, so...
Off topic: should I tint the fog lights, side turn signals, and headlights?

I'm so used to driving the Honda Accord and the Hummer H3, 255 hp is already enough for me
I don't think there's much I can do to this car, it makes me happy enough. But I always want to upgrade it.

You have to pull off those little vent thingies on the front fenders!
