For some reason my Saturday was completely free(it rarely happens). So i decided to spend the day pampering my baby. The paints still very clear so a cleaner wasn't in order. What she did get was a thorough GC bath, a nice claying, #7 rubbed in nice and good and a couple coats of NXT.



I didn't take many pics. I always seem to get caught up in the whole process.

And this is after a coat of NXT:




The next morning i put the second coat on. Again, sorry for the lack of pics. I'm working on it.

Wow that thing is CLEAN! I like that body more than the new ones truthfully. I still regret not buying a 96 SCSB 4x4 with the 5.8L. Can we get some full body shots of that beauty? Maybe throw some interior shots as well. I really dig it!

BTW, does #7 really make black that clear? My Dad's black truck has tons of swirls...

Yeah Black, that truck looks smashing! I have a very old bottle of #7, and I think it's no longer good, but I really need to buy a new bottle and try it for that "snap."

Thanks guys. I didn't realize how much it needed some nourishing til i did the first panel. I'm glad i had the time to do it.

BTW, does #7 really make black that clear? My Dad's black truck has tons of swirls...

I know i have some full shots but i think i might have to take some interior shots so i can post them up. As far as swirls, if you have them try to get rid of them as much as possible before a pure polish. I don't think it will turn out as expected if the paint finish is all swirled up. It can only do so much.

BC/CC. I still have yet to get a thickness measurement.

You got that result just from Mirror Glaze? No wash, claybar, or polish?
I hate seeing threads like this after I just ordered a NXT Gen Car Wash, Ultimate Detailer, NXT Gen Insane Shine, NXT Gen Tech Wax 2.0, and a piece of clay when I could've just ordered 1 bottle of Mirror Glaze....
