Very Cool! How the heck did you manage to get the big rig to your place to work on it? What were the circumstances?
I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like. I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
Remove swirls my friends.
Haha what I meant was how did you get the honor to work on the truck? Do you work for Meguiars?

Sorry I could not resist. No I do not work for Meguiar's But Barry if your watching my Resume is on file.
I have been using Meg's for over 28 years and met some great people along the way and was in the right place at the right time and offered my services.
The Rig Goes to a lot of the shows in Carlisle and Hershey Pa. and I am only 30 min from them.

The orig. plan was to sand the hood with 1500G around the custom logo and going over the logo with a gray scuff pad and than clear coat just the black.
After sanding and spraying a small test spot over a chalky area the clear just amplified the defect. So I removed the the clear form the test area and went to work with compound. Tried 105 & wool with little results, than went to solo and red wool cut pad and that was the ticket. after doing the whole hood with very good results I was debating on weather to top coat with a polish.I gave #80 a shot but the oils were clouding the results of the solo. I thought one more try and chose D151 and my PC D/A and it worked. This will just buy time for the rest of this show season and than the hood will need resprayed Black and clear and the Logo will need redone.
