  • 03 F150 Stepside

This is my daughters 03 F150 Stepside, I detailed it while she was home from college for winter break.
This is how it looked on Friday when we moved her home for the summer!!!

Can you say Pine Tree Sap
I started out under the hood, it had some light dust, so a quick rinse and a misting of 50/50 Hyper Dressing then wipe it down after it soaked a little while.

The last time I detailed it was with #66 and medium pad, then a coat of #21 with a soft pad.
Today I washed it with Meguiar's D111 Shampoo Plus which included scrubbing the upper surfaces 3 times to get all the sap off, the finish was still in good shape.

So I figured it was time to play with some new stuff that I ordered from ADS...

I did a test spot on the top of drivers side rear fender, but the difference was so small that it didn't show up in the picture.

Here are the results, and yes I got a nice big hug when I was done too!

My review of The Detailers line of Paint Conditioning Creme!
It went on real nice, I used a new Flex Foam pad on speed 4. Let it haze, and it wiped off in one swipe. The shine was as good as #21 so we'll see how long it lasts out in the 115 degree heat during the next month or so.
This was the first time I used a Flex Foam pad, and I'm not sure if I like them or not yet, I'll have to take a spin around the vette with them to be sure but right now I sort of miss the Meguiar's pads I've used for years...

How aggressive was the bad you used with the 151?

I will be doing a Ford soon, and have no idea how the clear is on them.

I'm sure your daughter was very happy. I did my moms HHR for her on this past Friday, she was ecstatic!

I used the Blue (Light Polishing) pad for the first time, like I said I thought the Flex Foam pad was ok...
The engine bay is better than the pic shows, the flash really highlighted stuff you don't normally see.
