  • Rasky's Auto Detailing: 2005 BMW 645 complete detail

Owner bought this car used and wanted a complete detail with a little extra special attention.

    Before pics:

    Wheels

    Exhaust tips

Paint condition was very hard to capture and the pics do not show the true condition. The finish was actually worse than what you see. There was a lot of rail dust too on the tops that I could not capture with the camera.

Etching in the clear that was easily removed with M105

A few scuffs were visible on the car like this

    Brinkmann

    Halogen

    Engine

Interior was in pretty good condition

Small mark on the passengers seat.

The only real trouble area on the interior was in the back seat under the floor matt. I doubt the owner even knew it was there.

Wheels were removed to properly clean and protect the inner side of them. Since I had the wheels off I went over the wheel wells with a little more detail than usual.

Chrome on the wheels was clean with M105 and sealed with KAIO.

My process for the correction was M105 Via the Flex 3401 on a Meguiar’s W7207 foam pad. I followed that up with M205 via the rotary with a Meguiar’s W9207 foam pad. A few RIDS remained but they are very hard to see given the color. My LSP was Wolfgang DGPS (x2).

After: (Sorry it was cloudy with off and on rain…I’ll get sun shots tomorrow)

      Brinkmann

      Halogen

Door jambs were cleaned with APC and then polished by hand with KAIO. Weather stripping was protected with Meguiar’s M40

A little dust on the wheels from pulling the car around…I touched that up.

Interior carpet was done using APC, Bissell LGM, Folex, Carpet brush, and a shop vac.
Leather was clean with Leather Masters Strong Cleaner and then protected with Leather Masters Protection Cream

Engine was cleaned with APC+, various brushes, wash mitt, and then dressed with Meguiar’s Water Based Dressing.

      16+ hours invested…

      Thanks for looking,
      Rasky

I think black and white are the hardest colors to work with, one is hard to see and the other one you can see everything.Looks great!

very nice work. Do you like the 7207 pad alot? I really don't hear about too many people using it, I purchased one yesterday for my G110, I hope I can get a little better results with it than my 8007 pad

Nice job Rasky, that's a very nice looking white car! So, do you prefer 105 over a chrome polish?

                          Car looks fantastic!

Those wheels look like they would take a long time to detail.

I normally don't use them much as I tend to like wool pads better. Since this wasn't a full blown correction and I wanted to keep it down to two steps, the W7202 work excellent. If finishes off very well and makes the finishing step very easy.

There was a few areas that didn't come clean durring the initial cleaning of the wheels. Water will pool on the inside lip of these wheels and there were a few hard water stains. The Megs and Mothers chrome polish simply did not cut through them any where near as fast as M105 did.

M105 is simply an amazing product!

Took about 2 hours when you add the time to remove and reinstall them. I'd also like to point out that the wheels were installed using a torque wrench and torqued to factory specs.
