Cars from the 60's and 70's are so much more fun to work on aren't they?
Just the panels alone tend to be large and more flat versus the shape of the panels on so many new cars and trucks. Plus cars like this Mustang have none of that pebble textured plastic trim anywhere to have to tape-off or avoid.
Though this picture was better flipped vertically..
LMAO!!! Mike that is hilarious! Jeff told me to just be myself.
So when are you coming to AZ for a class?
Thanks Aaron! If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have gotten past my first experience with the PC and 83
I appreciate the kind words. As a Training Officer (Corporal) here at the ol' lockup, I tend to teach everyone to do a good job and sometimes they exceed my teachings, like paint work. I still don't think I do all that well, except interior work, but that's a no brainer for me.....
I do keep up with the rooks in the typing area and booking of alledged law breakers, even after 15 years of being on the job
Excellent job.

Well, if it wasn't for you helping Jeff, I'd still be doing everything by hand and not using all the new products. So a 2nd generation thanks is in order! Thanks! LOL

Holy Cow, that looks great! Kudos to both of you!!!!!!!!!!
The only reason some people get lost in thought... is because it is unfamiliar territory for them.

Thanks everybody! It really was a fun project to do. Steve is about a good a customer as you could ask for. The car is simply amazing to look at, and for a gearhead, you couldn't ask for a better project to be on. It goes beyond the typical "restoration". It really is a work of art and the best part is, Steve drives it like it was meant to be driven. He doesn't baby it or trailer it, it sees a lot of passes down the 1/4 as that is Steve's passion.
Jeff and I really appreciate all of the compliments. We just got done detailing his wife's Fusion so that should be posted shortly.
I would love to hear this baby start up, idle, clear her or his throat, then bark at the pavement. Gives me goosebumps.

It is quite an experience, let me tell you. It's 12:1 compression running on racing fuel. It idles at about 1200 RPM due to the huge heads and carb on it - it's built for top end power, that's for sure. Sounds awesome! (Smells great too, love the smell of racing fuel).

Al,
Believe it or not but it sounds and runs better than it looks. I know Mike and Jeff did a perfect job on it and it shows but the engine really makes it. It only ran a 12.5 but I never had it dyno'd or tuned. In fact I didn't even degree the cam or time it with a timing light. It is capable of a low 11 so I am going to re-do it soon. My bad on trying to rush it and get it together. Thanks for all the nice comments. It is great having a '67 and '07 and I am truly lucky. I did build the '67 by myself from the ground up with the help of friends and family. Not shop built that is for sure......
