  • Detailed: 2006 Mercedes Benz S550

We'll I recently detailed the owners wife Lexus LX470 and on Friday I started working on his Mercedes Benz, for him it was a "new" car, he has been with it for 4 or 5 months.

The paint condition was horrible, lots of swirls, RIDS, holograms, you name it.
The interior was in a pretty nice shape.

This is how the car arrived, not in bad shape from a nice distance and considering the sun was not out.

When I washed and clayed the car, I took it outside since the sun came out to inspect.

Took it in, and inspected under the lights

    During work, 50/50

    After pictures

I really liked this car. Never worked on one but I just loved all the details it has to make things more comfortable.

    Thanks for looking

Thanks, well I really don't know.
The rear bumper has been repainted, at the Mercedes Benz dealer had a little "accident' nothing big, so I guess that is the cause of the holograms. Swirls very poor washing, the owner has a guy at his house that does the washing.

Thanks! Well the owner has been with the car for 4 months, first time I've worked on this one. It's a 2006 and I'm sure he didn't receive it perfect

Beautiful job Francis! The car looks better than new.

It looks like each headrest has it's own DVD Player, What is that in the seatback? A pullout storage compartment or does it open like a door?

Wow that car was in pretty bad shape (paint wise) and now it looks like new!

What did you use to clean off the LCD screens?

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

                          I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
                          Remove swirls my friends.

To clean the leather is used APC+, it was like 15:1 and to condition I used Meguiar's D180, cleaned whatever was left behind and condition the leather. Them removed the excess with a microfiber towel

With a microfiber towel I used a dedicated LCD screen cleaner that I use.
