  • Dirty Dirty Little Jimmy!!

first off this is really only my 2nd true detail, all other experience has been on my personal cars which i never let get this dirty. This is owned by a local car lot in town. Lot manager contacted me through a friend, said they only really wanted the inside taken car, so that is what I proceeded to do.

    Products:
    APC from Dollar General
--Diluted per instructions on bottle for general cleaning and carpets
    Windex
    H2O

    Tools:
    Rigid 5hp shop vac
    Lots and lots of microfibers
    Meguiars carpet brush

sorry for the wacky picture layout, im very new to posting. Plus sorry for the crappy pics, its just a Nikon L18. Thanks for looking though!! Thankyou all for your posts also for they were a big help in tackling the situation at hand.

Nice Clean Up. Looks like you had to put a lot of elbow grease into this one.

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

        I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
        Remove swirls my friends.

That truck was disgusting! I couldn't imagine trading in a vehicle in that condition.

I hope they appreciated the work, they're likely to get a good pop for it now.

Considering how filthy and stained the vehicle was to begin with, anything you did was short of a miracle. You did a fine job. I am REALLY impressed with the mats.

                          Re: Dirty Dirty Little Jimmy!!

thanks guys, the lot manager was estatic about it, she couldn't stop saying how nice it smelled (fabreeze auto) and the fact that it was even that clean. I have a 98 white Bonneville SSEi now from them, they had me use there rugdoctor machine with the apholstery attachment on it to do the floors and mats, that saved a bunch of time and a bunch of microfibers that I don't have to wash, looks like I need to invest in a decent extractor. I was going to get a LGCM heated, but read to many negative reviews on it, unless someone can chime in and tell me how great there experience is with it.
